> Help! New to foam tyres on lrp shark factory

Hi all iam currently running a lrp shark factory with rally blocks but heard good things about gecko tyres so want to give them ago but know don't know anythink about foams?

So what do I need as a starting point for a lrp shark factory (buggy) running on carpet?

Well I used to run the 52mm trued down Gecko's in 37 compound. These work well on the carpet, and give the car very stable handling in the air. They wear okay as well, although some others run slightly softer tyres on the rear to reduce steering, and slim the front tyres down in width as well.

Another good tip is to round the edges, which makes the handling smoother.

Excellent advice from Mark on using Geckos.

one slight change is I think Mark means the 58mm (not 52mm) trued down Geckos which are the 'low profile' Electric Gecko tyres on the 50mm diameter wheel.

Got myself a set of 37`s now ready for nats. they turned up this morning, as only ordered on sunday was a quick turn around.
